A Final Word: Concluding the Journey

After what feels like eleven months, this book has finally reached its conclusion. I must confess, it’s not the seamless completion I initially envisioned, as I haven’t fully fleshed out the remaining outline. However, my decision to stop here stems from a necessary realization: my initial concept for the final Heavens and Worlds arc was too vast and complex for my current writing ability to manage successfully.

Ending the narrative with the pivotal Plateau dungeon feels like the best outcome—it’s better to stop while the quality is high. If I were to continue attempting the final arc, I couldn’t guarantee that the quality wouldn’t decline into something subpar.

The Unwritten Vision: The Clash of Concepts

My original concept for the Heavens and Worlds arc was intended to be a spectacular clash of conceptual abilities, a battle of Dao Fruits, completely discarding the restrictive concept of the Cultivation Realm. The competition wouldn’t be over who was physically stronger, but who was conceptually more cunning and logically superior.

Shi Jian’s Infinite Replication (Library of the Heavens).

Xu Que’s Anti-Trope System (the nemesis of literary fate).

Shi Hao’s final Dao Fruit: “Invincible in this era, the future transforms into variables”—meaning, I am invincible now, and my future self is a variable not bound by present causality. No matter what, losing is not an option.

The final arc would have featured a large group of masters, all wielding unique Dao Fruits, constantly scheming against each other.

For instance:

Against a character like Gu Chenshe (known for being one realm higher than anyone else): The confrontation would be a stalemate, as Shi Hao’s belief in his own invincibility (Invincible in this era) would conceptually nullify the advantage, or Shi Jian could simply plagiarize the ability (I’m also one realm higher than you), creating a philosophical paradox—a perpetual motion machine of escalating power.

Against Xu Que: He would simply declare, “You are an invincible protagonist, and invincible protagonists don’t lose. That’s a trope, right? Well then. I’ll go against the trope. You lost!”

The Challenge of the Narrative

Ultimately, my writing ability was insufficient; I truly couldn’t support the weight of this Heavens and Worlds arc. My ideas were strong, but I was genuinely afraid they would turn into garbage when I tried to translate them into a coherent story.

Although this is a fanfiction, I also aimed to create a unified Universe view and detail the deep heritage of a Sect. I introduced concepts like The Heavens Orphanage, the Lord of All Heavens, Big Director, and the Fate Devourer—ideas I still hope to develop into separate books once my skill improves.

I wanted to write something new. Most Heavens and Worlds novels, by the end, create some standard villainous force that wants to destroy everything. I believe that at the level of the Heavens and Worlds, strong individuals should be completely illogical and completely independent. They should not need to content for trivial things or fight to the death over finite resources.

The true nature of high-level power should be: “I lack nothing.” Therefore, all high-level conflicts in this book should logically stem from “seeking fun”!

However, with so many books and characters involved, it was strategically necessary to design a core villain (the Strange Clan). Without a defined antagonist, the plot of the Heavens and Worlds would become too vague and difficult to push forward.

My writing capacity truly couldn’t control the scope of my own ideas. So, I chose to conclude it here. It’s not a seamless completion, but I believe it is a satisfactory conclusion.

Extras and Future Plans

Finally, I want to discuss the extra chapters for the book. I have two types of extras planned:

1. The ‘Shenanigan’ Extra (Free): This will be a short supplement to the grand finale and previous events, filling in some plot gaps:

Ye Tiandi officially joining the Chat Group.

Patriarch Chen and Liu Shen joining the Chat Group.

Shi Jian traveling to Yang Qi’s world and using Zhang Sanfeng’s Dao Fruit of the Ultimate Dao to instantly achieve a state of ultimate peace and detachment (Wu Wu).

Shi Hao’s final Breakthrough beyond Sacrificial Dao, and his return to the past to give himself a cheat.

2. Individual Character Extras (Reader’s Choice): These would be written as normal, long dungeon arcs (several hundred thousand words each). You can choose individual stories that were only briefly mentioned:

Shi Hao’s Transmigration to Shrouding the Heavens.

Lin Dong’s Transmigration to Lu Mingfei’s world.

Li Changshou’s journey as an actor.

Han Li’s previous “God of War Chapter.”

The choice is yours: a Free Extra (brief short stories) or a Paid Extra (full-length dungeon arcs). As an author who needs to eat, I would need to continue charging for the full-length arcs.
