Chapter 390: Quasi-Immortal Emperor Battle

“Cang Emperor, it seems you’ve met your match. Have you not resolved this minor annoyance yet?”

The voice of the newcomer rumbled like collapsing creation, shattering the very fabric of space-time. It was accompanied by an infinite wave of chronological power.

The voice seemed to arrive from hundreds of millions of years in the ancient past.

“Hong Emperor, you’ve arrived at last?” The grey-haired Cang Emperor spoke, looking toward a figure wearing a majestic purple-gold crown. He called this arrival Hong Emperor.

Hong Emperor, radiating sky-high purple Qi, stood within an ethereal space-time constructed solely by Dao runes. He effortlessly oversaw the myriad Universes of eternity.

As his eyes turned, the River of Time itself emerged, flowing from his gaze.

His aura was profoundly powerful. The Qi flowing naturally from his mouth and nose caused cosmic Star Domains to fracture and implode.

The entire being seemed to fundamentally reject and transcend this existing world.

“After sleeping for an eternity, three young Dominators have emerged in the world,” Hong Emperor slowly spoke, his voice cold and indifferent. “But unfortunately, they do not understand the Heavenly Mystery and act arbitrarily!”

His gaze was coldly fixed on Shi Jian and his two allies.

Now, it was Cang Emperor and Hong Emperor—two Quasi-Immortal Emperors.

They exuded a palpable, deep-seated self-confidence. Quasi-Immortal Emperors were the ultimate, strongest beings across all time.

Epoch after epoch had passed under their watchful eyes. Even now, only a few Dominators had ever reached this height.

Moreover, the three antagonists (Cang, Hong, Yu) had been dormant in the Quasi-Immortal Emperor Realm for an unimaginable duration. Those who had just undergone a Breakthrough to the level, being technically at the same rank, were not qualified to sit as equals with them.

Three young Dominators had come to conquer.

The two ancient emperors had no fear.

“Yu Emperor, why are you not quickly coming to slay this anomaly!” Hong Emperor commanded. Purple Qi surged for hundreds of millions of miles, violently engulfing this vast world.

His Killing Intent was extremely strong. Though supremely confident, he was not arrogant enough to engage alone. He prepared to gather all three ancient emperors to suppress and slay the anomaly.

In the depths of the Ultimate Ancient Land, a brilliant, sacred, and dazzling light illuminated eternity, precisely cutting through the River of Time.

An astonishing, world-shaking aura emerged from the depths.

“Disturbing my slumber!” A muffled voice shook the very foundations of the Universe.

A peerless Dominator finally emerged. He sat on an ancient, extremely brilliant war chariot. The war chariot rumbled as it crossed over directly from the River of Time.

Upon the war chariot, a majestic Divine Might, undeniably belonging to a Dominator, violently erupted. Sacred light rained down in a continuous sprinkle.

A supreme Dominator stood upon the chariot, looking down in their direction. He carried a pair of sacred, feathery wings on his back.

His entire being was powerful, pure, and immaculate, like an unblemished supreme expert.

Without a doubt, this was the third ancient Quasi-Immortal Emperor: Yu Emperor!

“There are no eternally indestructible protagonists of Heaven and Earth,” Yu Emperor spoke, his tone utterly indifferent and supremely overbearing.

“You might be the variables of this epoch, but what can you truly achieve when you encounter three beings like us?”

“Do you really believe you can go Heaven-Defying?”

He stood on the terrifying war chariot, holding a long spear that was visibly dripping with blood, crimson and dazzling. That blood was the potent fluid of a slain Quasi-Immortal Emperor.

It was a trophy from before, when the Quasi-Immortal Emperors from the Era of Dominator’s Fall crossed the Boundary Sea. They were slain by the three great emperors, and the blood was left behind to mark the victory.

The two sides confronted each other across the collapsing void.

Three ancient Quasi-Immortal Emperors against three young Quasi-Immperor challengers.

[Inorin’s Note: The title Quasi-Immperor is used to refer to Shi Jian and his allies, differentiating them from the entrenched native Quasi-Immortal Emperors.]

Perhaps it was due to supreme overconfidence, but the three veteran Dominators—Cang, Hong, and Yu—did not summon the formidable World-Ending Old Man.

They likely believed they could easily defeat Shi Jian and the other two.

“Kill!”

Regardless of the odds or the strategy, this battle was now utterly unavoidable.

Shi Jian was the first to act. This was a Quasi-Immortal Emperor battle—a legendary event that had never been witnessed throughout all of eternity.

As soon as they made a Move, the River of Time surged and bucked, and time itself ruthlessly crushed everything in its path.

This entire space instantly became completely chaotic.

Their Clones and their Dharma Bodies traversed the River of Time, engaging in fierce, temporal combat.

At this supreme Realm, all sorts of incredible Divine Abilities made them surpass the wildest imagination of Immortal Kings.

They could even fight within a Heaven and Earth that did not belong to the present era.

The only remaining restriction was that they could not actively interfere with historical matters in other space-times.

If they were to Move and alter the past, the resulting Karma would be too catastrophic for even them to bear. The original reality would turn to Void Realm for eternity, ceasing to exist.

However, while they could not reverse great Karma, their inherent combat power had already reached the absolute apex.

Shi Jian confronted Yu Emperor. Yu Emperor remained seated on the ancient war chariot, his sacred wings flapping behind him, his entire being radiating auspicious, blinding light.

The long spear in his hand dripped with the crimson blood of a vanquished peer. It emitted a dazzling crimson light and then violently thrust toward Shi Jian.

The spear pierced through the great Universe, through the turbulent River of Time, and through all eternity.

When such a figure attacked, he could effortlessly destroy an entire Realm with a casual Move.

Boom.

The place instantly exploded. Heaven and Earth collapsed, and the extraterrestrial celestial bodies were vaporized into Void Realm. Chaos surged wildly, as if the space was returning to the moment of creation.

Shi Jian summoned the Nether God’s Spear and met the attack. Amidst the dazzling, blinding light, he charged forward.

The Nether God’s Spear collided with the Emperor Spear. The two supreme weapons vibrated intensely, and the power of the primordial wilderness boiled over the dark land.

Both used the same type of ultimate weapon—a spear—and they attacked each other, unleashing astonishing and overwhelming Divine Might.

A faint, subtle aura seeped out from Shi Jian’s body. This was the aura of his Dominator Domain.

The Dominator Domain no longer possessed the overtly vast majesty it had at the beginning of his Cultivation.

Instead, it had transformed into a gentle, highly pervasive infiltration mechanism.

It was infiltrating the Void Realm, making it completely imperceptible. By the time people noticed it, they were already fully enclosed within the Domain.

The domain, the Pure Land of the Gods, was everywhere—a serene Pure Land where the ultimate other shore was right beneath one’s feet.

“You do possess some skill!” Yu Emperor stated. He stood imperiously on the war chariot, never dismounting, his posture invincible. He held the Emperor Spear with one hand, possessing terrifying prestige.

“You also have some skill. It’s perfectly suitable for increasing my Cultivation!”

Above Shi Jian’s head, the Wheel of Destiny appeared. The Wheel spun wildly, constantly vibrating, and a force of destiny twisted and danced madly around the space.

“Dragon of Destiny!”

Shi Jian waved his hand, unleashing a violent Divine Ability. One after another, threads of pure destiny power formed. Huge, wild Dragons intertwined, forming colossal chains.

These chains were chains of order, capable of Sealing everything in existence.

The hunting shackles formed by the Dragon of Destiny suppressed Yu Emperor, intending to capture him and permanently imprison him for refinement.

“The power of destiny?” Seeing this, Yu Emperor’s expression finally solemnized.

The Emperor Spear in his hand was incomparably sharp, sweeping out as if to tear all of reality apart.

The power of time and the power of space were intensely stirred up by his move. One after another, these annihilating powers tore through and destroyed the Dragon of Destiny chains.

“Seven Kills, Seven Emotions, One Spear, Seven Moves, Seven Emotions Converge, Gods and Demons Fall!”

Yu Emperor unleashed a peerless spear technique. These ancient beings had sacrificed eternal space-time and their own relatives and friends, having long become emotionless shells.

Yet, the Divine Ability they unleashed was paradoxically related to emotions.

The seven primal emotions—joy, anger, sorrow, pleasure, bitterness, worry, and sadness—were mysteriously hidden within the essence of the long spear. The seven emotions moved in unison, striking out in a pattern that was utterly unstoppable.

Yu Emperor had long since abandoned useless emotions. However, he could clearly discern that Shi Jian and his allies had not lost their humanity or emotions.

Using such a Move against them would yield the best and most devastating results. Emotions, he calculated, were their ultimate weakness.

Seeing the complex, emotion-laced attack, Shi Jian stood motionless, his entire being like an invincible king standing in the Void Realm.

The combined Hell Furnace and Dominator Domain were unleashed. Countless clusters of golden light appeared around him, forming an impenetrable barrier.

The long spear forged from condensed emotions struck the golden light, unable to break through even a single bit of the defense.

“Break!” Shi Jian uttered a true word of power.

As soon as the word left his mouth, Yu Emperor’s Emperor Spear seemed to suffer a devastating, tangible blow, instantly cracking and threatening to shatter.

This was the Dominator’s word from the Wheel of Destiny. As soon as the word was spoken, it became immutable Law.

Having Cultivated to the Quasi-Immortal Emperor Realm, such figures have an immense influence on their surroundings, almost reaching the point where their will becomes Law.

However, this kind of power could typically only be directed at the weak. It was useless in battles of the same Realm.

Shi Jian’s words becoming Law were entirely different. With a single, forceful shout, he cracked Yu Emperor’s Quasi-Immortal Emperor Divine Weapon!

“This…” Yu Emperor was completely shocked by this Divine Ability where words became Law.

Before he could properly react, Shi Jian attacked again. The Hand of God condensed into clusters of pure white clouds, as if ancient Gods simultaneously extended their colossal arms to destroy Hell itself.

The Hand of God crushed down. Space shattered inch by inch, and the River of Time echoed with the tremendous impact.

Yu Emperor’s expression became grim and solemn. The war chariot beneath his feet cracked inch by inch, losing its previous calm and invulnerable appearance.

Shi Jian’s strength was far greater than he had calculated.

He raised the Emperor Spear in his hand. Under the influence of Shi Jian’s words becoming Law, his Emperor Spear had suffered massive damage.

However, a Quasi-Immortal Emperor-level existence possesses seemingly infinite power.

Countless Star Domains in the Void Realm shattered, and an unending stream of dark power surged into his Emperor Spear.

His Emperor Spear was miraculously repaired again. He once again raised his long spear and thrust it out.

A single, terrifying spear light slowly emerged. This was an attack that completely defied the Law of space-time.

It looked incredibly slow, yet its true speed was hundreds of millions of times faster than light.

The spear light did not grow stronger, but rather intentionally weaker. When Yu Emperor first made his Move, the spear light spanned hundreds of millions of miles, like a world-destroying divine light. But in an instant, the spear light became as thin and fine as a thread, growing smaller and finer until it was barely visible.

The spear light, like an infinitesimal, razor-sharp thread, struck down.

Interesting.

Facing such a bizarre and unique attack, Shi Jian’s face finally showed some expression—a flash of genuine curiosity.

He moved like a combined Tiger and Dragon essence, then threw a furious, destructive punch. This punch was born of primal, unyielding fury.

With one punch, myriad worlds were destroyed, Gods fell, and all the Law chains in the world were annihilated.

Under this punch, all semblance of truth seemed to cease to exist. One force breaks all Laws!

He attacked with a single punch, confronting Yu Emperor’s hair-thin spear light.

In an instant, the power was vast and mighty. The River of Time was shattered. His power was like the boundless sea and the deepest Hell, an irresistible tidal force.

The entire dark land stirred up a Star Domain-level storm.

The shockwave vibrated violently, shattering Yu Emperor’s spear light and going straight for Yu Emperor’s body.

Yu Emperor was greatly alarmed. He found Shi Jian’s power too terrifying. It carried a kind of primal taboo, seemingly capable of overturning everything in existence.

Under Shi Jian’s absolute power, all reality was inverted. Metal turned into wood, wood turned into water; the Five Elements themselves were inverted. Time also flowed backward in the path of the fist.

It was as if under his fist, the truth of Heaven and Earth no longer held sway. This was truly terrifying.

The white wings on Yu Emperor’s back emitted divine light, frantically trying to block Shi Jian’s final punch.

Shi Jian struck his body, and the Void Realm itself twisted violently around the point of impact.

“Good, good, good, very good! As expected of a Quasi-Immortal Emperor!” Shi Jian laughed with pure delight.

“If I devour you, my Physical Body will become even more perfect, and my strength will advance further!”

An astonishing Divine Might erupted from his body, and he charged relentlessly toward the wounded Yu Emperor.

The two fought so fiercely that the dark land cracked, hundreds of millions of miles of land sank into the void, and the endless Star Domain exploded into non-existence.

While the two of them were locked in their apocalyptic fight, the others also engaged in battle.

Shi Hao confronted Cang Emperor. Their weapons clashed fiercely, and they fought with an indomitable, reckless fury. Right from the start, blood—the precious, powerful blood of a Quasi-Immperor—was already splattering.

A drop of that blood fell into the current, and the River of Time was instantly cut off. Time stood still, as if completely frozen in that moment of impact.

The main battlefield in the present space-time was occupied by Shi Jian and Yu Emperor, while Shi Hao and Cang Emperor chose to battle within the chaotic current of the River of Time itself.

The two fought weapon against weapon, Dharma Body against Dharma Body. They exchanged palm strikes, and their shockwaves rippled out, their magical powers transforming into ripples that stirred the great dark Realm.

The Universe was torn apart by their power.

The energy from their fingertips impacted Heaven and Earth, resulting in Chaos being violently split open, clear Qi rising, and turbid Qi descending.

With a casual strike, the two actually cleaved open a massive new world.

The ripples spread along the cracks, creating Heaven and Earth. A clear sky emerged, the earth sank, and countless stars instantly appeared.

Who could have imagined that the aftershocks of just two people fighting could create a great world? This was the ultimate, transcendent power of the Quasi-Immortal Emperor Realm.

Their weapons separated from their hands and clashed with each other. They had already entered the swirling Chaos.

Their weapons were now autonomously creating new worlds, and then battling fiercely within the newly created Universe of primordial wilderness.

A Primordial Spirit rushed out from Shi Hao’s body. This Primordial Spirit possessed a majestic aura of dominating the entire world.

As soon as the Primordial Spirit appeared, it instantly froze the current of the River of Time. Everything became stiff and rigid. Time seemed to be frozen in that single, eternal moment.

“You want to use eternal time to kill me? It is not enough!” Cang Emperor spoke coldly.

His glabella also glowed intensely, and a heroic young man appeared. This was his Primordial Spirit—unlike his current frail old man appearance, it was his former valiant, invincible self.

Two massive Primordial Spirit powers bloomed, colliding with each other. The River of Time surged violently, threatening to destroy itself.

The two Primordial Spirits flowed downstream along the River of Time, battling fiercely, not knowing what era they had reached.

Cang Emperor snorted again, and a huge dark shadow appeared behind him, terrifying and overwhelming, like a monstrous giant beast, instantly pouncing over the River of Time.

“Kill!” Shi Hao also let out a mighty roar.

The Dao Palace Secret Realm he had opened in his chest manifested, and then he swung his fist, charging toward Cang Emperor.

The two engaged in brutal, fierce combat. They fell into the River of Time, flowing against the current of history.

They fought toward the distant end of ancient times. For a time, blood splattered, and the scene was terrifying.

Cang Emperor let out a long howl, and a pair of enormous, decaying, black wings appeared behind him. The wings gently flapped, and countless destructive Laws surged, enveloping Shi Hao.

This was the ultimate Law of pure destruction.

Shi Hao’s Physical Body emitted a brilliant, fierce light. His entire body surged with vibrant Qi and blood, and white light gushed from his mouth and nose, like silver true Dragons flying into the void.

In a single thought, giant trees emerged around him, rooting themselves in the Void Realm. Immortal Plants grew in lush patches, and Immortal Plants bloomed in a sudden, impossible display of life.

This was the Azure Emperor Wood Emperor Art (a technique referenced in other fanfics), the art of creation and life.

If Cang Emperor used the Great Dao of Destruction, then Shi Hao would counter by creating all things, providing an endless supply of life Qi.

He used life against death. He used creation against destruction.

The next instant, the two erupted with astonishing white and black light, and the darkness was violently dispelled.

The power of destruction boiled, and the power of creation endlessly created all things. The two powers constantly churned against each other.

They fought like this, from Heaven to Earth, from Earth to elemental forces, creating worlds, destroying worlds, evolving all things, and destroying all things.

Shi Hao continued to flow upstream along the River of Time.

What an astonishing scene this was: their weapons were creating great worlds in the present and clashing with each other there.

Their Primordial Spirits, however, flowed downstream along the River of Time, battling on the banks of the future River of Time.

And their true, main bodies were fighting fiercely on the banks of the past River of Time. On the banks of the ancient past, blood splattered, and world-shaking power, an indomitable will, permeated the air.

Such a scene was terrifying to the extreme. Whether in the past, present, or future, their figures were locked in the ultimate battle.
