Chapter 211: Dormammu

The Ancient One turned her head, her gaze sweeping over the swirling, abyssal tear in reality. “Your Highness, are you absolutely certain about this? Engaging him on his home turf places us at a severe disadvantage.”

Mavuika offered a calm, unbothered smile. “It is precisely because this is his domain that he won’t run. And what we need, above all else, is for him to stay exactly where he is.”

She raised her hand. Golden-red flames violently surged from her palm, instantly illuminating the shattered street in a blinding, incandescent glow that pushed back the encroaching shadows.

“Let’s go.”

The Sorcerer Supreme studied the Asgardian for a fleeting second, the silence hanging heavy between them, before a faint smile graced her lips.

“Your Highness, you are even crazier than I imagined.”

Mavuika did not answer. She merely bent her knees and leaped. Her physical form blurred, transforming into a brilliant streak of golden-red light that tore straight into the gaping black fracture in space.

The Ancient One followed without hesitation, her yellow robes snapping wildly in the howling black mist like a war banner.

Down on the ruined street, Kaecilius had completely vanished. The zealot had been entirely swallowed by Dormammu, his physical form and soul digested to become a permanent fixture of the Dark Dimension. The surviving followers collapsed one by one, their bodies rapidly decaying into fine black dust that scattered into the howling wind.

Loki stood near the entrance of the Sanctum Sanctorum. His brows were locked in a tight, anxious knot as he stared at the sealing dimensional crack.

Wanda stepped up beside him, her red aura flickering faintly around her fingers. “They went in.”

Loki gave a single, stiff nod.

Pietro leaned against a nearby chunk of rubble, his hands shoved deep into his pockets. He chewed on his lower lip, his eyes darting toward the fading portal. “Can they actually win?”

Loki remained silent for a long moment. He stared at the spot where the golden light had vanished, his posture straightening.

“The eldest daughter has never lost,” he stated, his voice ringing with absolute, unshakable conviction.

The Dark Dimension.

There was no sky. There was no earth. There was no light, no sound, and no concept of time. There was only an endless, suffocating expanse of absolute darkness and a freezing, heavy void that sought to crush the life out of anything that dared to enter.

Mavuika floated effortlessly in the center of the abyss. Golden-red flames roared to life around her, burning with the fierce intensity of a lonely sun. Her radiance carved out a sanctuary of light several hundred meters wide, but beyond that perimeter, the darkness remained an impenetrable wall that hungrily devoured her glow.

The Ancient One materialized beside her. With a fluid motion of her wrists, glowing golden mandala shields flared to life over her hands. Her body emitted a faint, steady luminescence in the crushing dark, standing as a solitary lighthouse against a raging sea of black.

“Your Highness, be careful,” the Ancient One’s voice echoed, the sound warping strangely in the empty space. “Dormammu is everywhere. In this realm, he is everything.”

The moment the warning left her lips, a low, rumbling laugh vibrated through the void.

The sound did not originate from any specific direction. Instead, it surged from all sides simultaneously, crashing over them like a suffocating tidal wave of pure malice.

“Ancient One…” The voice was impossibly deep, thick and heavy enough to make the very fabric of space tremble. “You have finally come to me.”

The Sorcerer Supreme tilted her head upward, staring into the pitch-black canopy above. “Dormammu, stop this. Earth is not a realm you can touch.”

Dormammu laughed again, the sheer force of the sound rattling Mavuika’s bones.

“Stop? I have waited for centuries in the dark. Today, Kaecilius has offered his soul willingly. The gates of the Dark Dimension have been torn open. Earth will eventually belong to me, just as all worlds do.”

High above, the darkness parted. Two colossal eyes, burning with a sickly, dark red hellfire, ignited in the void. They hung in the depths of the dimension like two dying planets, their cold, malevolent gaze locking onto the Ancient One and Mavuika.

Dormammu’s attention slowly shifted, his massive eyes narrowing as they focused entirely on Mavuika.

“An Asgardian?” The cosmic entity’s voice dripped with heavy disdain. “Odin’s daughter? Do you honestly believe a mere child of Asgard can stand in my way?”

Mavuika tipped her chin up, her expression completely devoid of fear as she met the gaze of those two planetary eyes.

“Then let’s see!”

She thrust her hand upward. The golden-red flames coiled around her arm before erupting outward, transforming into a massive, roaring pillar of fire that shot directly toward the heavens.

The inferno carved a blinding, searing trail of light through the absolute darkness, slamming violently into Dormammu’s left eye.

A muffled, world-shaking grunt echoed through the dimension. The two colossal eyes vanished into the shadows, but the mocking laughter quickly returned, echoing from the surrounding void.

“Interesting flames,” Dormammu rumbled, his tone losing a fraction of its previous arrogance. “But do you truly think you can defeat me with a parlor trick? It is far from enough! Let me see—what else do you possess, little god?”

Mavuika did not bother to answer him. She simply closed her eyes, turning her focus inward to feel the steady, rhythmic pulse of the three distinct powers residing within her soul.

The first was the power of the Pyro Archon of Teyvat. It was the ancient memory of her past life, the foundational fire woven into the very fabric of her soul. It was scorching, wild, and violently explosive, like a dormant volcano ready to shatter the earth at any given second. It held the absolute authority to burn all impurities to ash.

The second was the Odinforce of Asgard. This was her divine birthright, the bloodline inheritance of Odin’s eldest daughter, bestowed upon her when she came of age. It was steady, vast, and unfathomably deep, moving with the heavy, unstoppable momentum of the ocean. It was the ultimate power of royal protection and cosmic order.

The third was the Eternal Flame. It was the primordial fire she had absorbed after crushing Surtur in the heart of Muspelheim. As one of the oldest energies in the Nine Realms, it was pure, eternal, and as ancient as time itself. It carried the terrifying dual nature of absolute creation and total destruction.

These three supreme energies surged through her veins like three raging rivers converging into a single, boundless sea. They collided, ground against one another, and slowly merged. It had taken her thousands of years of grueling meditation and combat to push their fusion rate to eighty percent.

It was not yet perfect. But against a cosmic parasite like Dormammu, it was more than enough.

Mavuika opened her eyes.

A shockwave of golden-red fire erupted from her core. This was no longer ordinary flame; it was pure, concentrated golden light, flowing and shifting like liquid sunlight.

The heat was absolute. The blinding radiance expanded violently, illuminating the desolate landscape of the Dark Dimension for miles in every direction, forcing the shadows to retreat.

For the very first time, a distinct ripple of hesitation echoed in Dormammu’s voice.

“This energy… what is this…”

Mavuika ignored him. She raised her right hand and gripped the empty air.

Thousand Blazing Suns.

The liquid golden-red flames rapidly condensed, compressing and twisting within her grasp until they solidified into the shape of a magnificent longsword. The weapon was forged entirely of golden-red light.

The blade was elegantly slender, with complex, flame-like patterns flowing continuously along the razor-sharp edge. At the center of the crossguard, a dark red Eternal Flame crystal was embedded, pulsing with a terrifying, contained heat.

Ancient runes were deeply engraved into the hilt. As Mavuika’s fingers wrapped around the grip, the runes ignited one by one, glowing and breathing with a rhythmic, living heartbeat.

Mavuika tested the weight of the weapon, a wave of deep nostalgia washing over her.

This sword had accompanied her through countless millennia of brutal warfare. It had drank the black blood of Dark Elves, severed the heads of towering Fire Giants, and effortlessly cleaved through the reinforced hull plating of interstellar warships.

“Long time no see,” Mavuika whispered softly.

As if responding to her voice, the flame patterns on the blade flared violently, dancing along the metal as if the weapon had just woken from a long slumber. The Eternal Flame crystal emitted a blinding, bloody red light, and the runes on the hilt twinkled like a constellation of burning stars against the dark sky.

Standing a few paces behind her, the Ancient One watched the sword manifest, her eyes widening by a fraction of an inch. Even through her magical shields, she could feel the sheer, oppressive weight of the power radiating from that blade.

Mavuika tightened her grip on the hilt. She turned her head slightly to glance at the Sorcerer Supreme, the corners of her lips curling into a sharp, predatory smile.

“Now, let’s stretch our muscles.”

Deep within the furthest reaches of the Dark Dimension, Dormammu finally abandoned his game of hide-and-seek.

The two planetary eyes ignited once more, but this time, they were followed by the manifestation of a colossal physical form birthed entirely from the surrounding darkness.

He possessed no fixed shape. His body resembled a continuously roiling, violent storm of dark clouds. But within those churning shadows, one could clearly see the agonizing, twisted faces of billions of consumed souls, screaming silently into the void.

Dormammu’s sheer mass blotted out whatever passed for a sky in this realm, stretching across the horizon like an endless, jagged black mountain range.

His eyes, burning like two dark red suns, glared down coldly at the two tiny, insignificant figures standing on the barren ground.

“Do you honestly believe a single sword can defeat me?” Dormammu’s voice rolled across the dimension, striking the ground like muffled thunder.

“This is the Dark Dimension. I am the absolute master here. In this realm, I am the rule!”

The storm clouds shifted violently. He raised a colossal hand formed entirely of concentrated darkness and crushing gravity, and slammed it down toward Mavuika with the force of a falling meteor.
