Magic Card Era: Infinite Deck Enhancement — Chapter 150

August 8, 2026 Calculating...

Chapter 150: Tree Spirit’s Blessing, Legendary Spirit Ring!

“Can’t I stay with you?” Celestine asked. Her emerald green eyes remained fixed on Luke, carrying a hint of natural, unblemished naivety.

“It’s not that you can’t, but tomorrow will probably be quite lively,” Luke replied, offering a casual shrug. “I just don’t know if you’ll easily adapt to that kind of chaotic environment.” He had no real intention of refusing her. If she didn’t mind the noise and the crowds, he certainly had no objections to keeping her around.

Besides, Principal Gu had already met Celestine. Even if Luke brought the stunning elf to the academy’s dismissal ceremony tomorrow, the higher-ups wouldn’t be overly shocked.

[Selected simulation construction target: Kisara! Simulation begins!]

Right after answering Celestine’s question, Luke silently activated his simulated construction authority. Deep within his mind, he began the grueling process of mapping out the complex pathways for Kisara. This was his very first time attempting to simulate the construction of an Eight-Star Magic Card, a tier that completely eclipsed the Seven-Star level. Compared to his previous projects, the progress bar for Kisara crawled at an agonizingly slow pace.

‘My current limit can finally support the simulated construction of an Eight-Star Magic Card, but it’s still far too strenuous,’ Luke thought, wincing slightly as a heavy, swelling sensation bloomed behind his eyes the moment the ability took hold.

Still, considering that an Eight-Star Magic Card was a domain exclusively reserved for peak Monarch Realm and King Realm Magic Card Masters, the fact that he could even initiate the simulation while only in the Commander Realm was a massive victory. Luke was more than content with this progress. After all, once the simulated construction reached one hundred percent, he would possess the absolute certainty needed to forge the Magic Card in reality.

“Is that so?” Celestine nodded thoughtfully, her soft cherry lips parting slightly. “In that case, I’ll return to the Land of the New Moon first.”

If it weren’t for Luke’s presence, Celestine would have absolutely no desire to leave the serene borders of the Land of the New Moon. Since he was going to be occupied with his own affairs, there was no reason for her to linger in the Magic Card Civilization’s main plane.

As she spoke, Celestine suddenly leaned in close, her delicate brows knitting together. Her emerald eyes flickered with sudden doubt, quickly followed by a flash of genuine worry. “Your spiritual energy… it is rapidly depleting?”

As the Spirit of the World Tree, Celestine possessed an incredibly keen perception of the natural world and the energies flowing through it. Almost the exact second Luke activated his simulated construction authority, she sensed the violent drain on his spiritual reserves. Yet, even with her vast senses, she couldn’t trace exactly where that expended energy was vanishing to, leaving a lingering trace of shock in her heart.

“It’s just a special secret technique,” Luke explained quietly.

The two of them were already sitting incredibly close. With her sudden movement, Celestine was practically pressed against him. The sudden shift in weight forced Luke to wrap an arm around her slender waist just to maintain his balance and keep them both from tumbling over.

Looking down at the stunning, flawless face hovering mere inches from his own, Luke felt a flicker of surprise. He hadn’t expected her intuition to be quite this sharp. Fortunately, while she could detect the dangerous anomaly in his spiritual energy, the actual mechanics of the System remained hidden from her.

“A secret technique?” Celestine murmured. The fresh, intoxicating scent of forest dew and blooming flowers washed over him as she spoke. Slowly, her gaze drifted downward, locking onto the Moon Spirit Ring resting on his hand.

In the next breath, a vast, shimmering tide of life force and pure Mana surged from Celestine’s body. The radiant energy flowed directly toward the Moon Spirit Ring, continuously injecting itself into the gemstone without a single drop dissipating into the surrounding air. It was a flawless display of her absolute control over magical energy.

“What is this?” Luke raised an eyebrow at the sudden light show, but he made no move to pull away or stop her. He felt absolutely no malice from the surging power. Given everything they had been through, he trusted that Celestine would never do anything to harm him.

[The Moon Spirit Ring has received the blessing of Celestine, the Spirit of the Ancient Spirit God Tree, and its quality has improved. Congratulations to the Host for obtaining a Legendary Spirit Ring (Unique Bound)!]

As the overwhelming life force and Mana completely integrated into the band, the Moon Spirit Ring underwent a deep evolution, advancing directly into a Legendary Spirit Ring.

Outwardly, its appearance hadn’t drastically changed. The only noticeable difference was a special, ethereal light that occasionally pulsed deep within the moon-colored spirit stone embedded in the center. To a casual observer, the subtle glow would be entirely unnoticeable.

But as the wearer, Luke instantly understood the terrifying extent to which the ring’s effects had just skyrocketed.

[Legendary Spirit Ring] (Unique Bound)

Quality: Special

Effect: Wearer’s spiritual energy recovery speed increased by 200%, spiritual energy consumption reduced by 30%. Wearer’s spiritual energy limit increased by 1.5 times for every level gained. Grants the wearer complete immunity to spiritual attacks.

‘Recovery speed increased by two hundred percent, and consumption slashed by thirty percent. This ratio alone completely blows the original Moon Spirit Ring out of the water,’ Luke thought, sharply inhaling a breath of cold air as the golden text reflected in his eyes.

The original ring had been a massive help, boosting his recovery speed by a third. But this? This was a direct two-hundred-percent increase, effectively tripling his base regeneration rate. More, the thirty percent reduction in consumption was a major change. Almost instantly, the heavy, agonizing drain on his mind vanished, replaced by a smooth, manageable flow.

‘Besides that, for every level gained, my spiritual energy limit will expand by one and a half times. If this keeps stacking, by the time I actually reach the Monarch Realm, my total spiritual capacity might outright crush a King Realm Master’s reserves.’

If Luke’s spiritual energy pool had started as a small puddle, his recent growth had turned it into a rushing river. With this ring, that river was destined to expand into a massive lake, and eventually, a boundless sea.

Not to mention, the absolute immunity to spiritual attacks provided an impenetrable layer of defense against intangible threats. The Magic Card Civilization was crawling with insidious Magic Card Elves and vicious beasts that specialized in targeting a Master’s mind.

“Thank you,” Luke said softly, his voice carrying genuine gratitude. The painful, strained sensation from simulating Kisara had completely evaporated, leaving him feeling refreshed and energized.

Looking at the beautiful elf in his arms, Luke couldn’t help but marvel at his luck. Celestine was practically the ultimate support artifact, rivaling those mythical ancient spirits hiding inside rings from old fantasy tales. From raw life force to pure Mana, and now spiritual energy, her amplification was complete and entirely without blind spots.

During his initial trip to the Land of the New Moon, he never expected his harvest to be this absurdly rich. Then again, Celestine was a supreme existence born from the World Tree itself; it only made sense that her blessings defied common logic.

“Although I don’t know what your secret is, I have a premonition that this will be good for you.” Having finished her work, Celestine tilted her head slightly. The tips of her pointed elf ears were faintly tinged with an alluring, rosy blush. “Consider it a gift for bringing me to the Magic Card Civilization.”

“It’s more than just a benefit. This is a grand gift.” Smiling, Luke instinctively reached up and gave Celestine a gentle headpat, only realizing what he was doing a second later.

He had developed the unconscious habit over the past few weeks, entirely due to the influence of Mana and Little White—those two adorable little troublemakers constantly demanded his affection.

“That’s good.” A bright, stunning smile bloomed on Celestine’s face. She didn’t seem to mind the intimate gesture in the slightest. However, if one looked closely, they would notice that the rosy blush creeping up her long elf ears had deepened just a fraction more.
