Magic Card Era: Infinite Deck Enhancement — Chapter 128

July 17, 2026 Calculating...

Chapter 128: Ancient Spirit Tree Spirit, Reincarnated Goddess!

A brand-new military unit born from the personification of warships. They possessed the delicate appearance of young women while housing the apocalyptic destructive power, mobility, and transport capabilities of an entire naval fleet. They were perfectly adapted to dominate any conflict at sea.

Ship Girls generally appeared in human form, virtually indistinguishable from ordinary women at a glance. Their true essence, however, was forged from cold steel and heavy artillery. If a battle truly broke out, even a Ship Girl in her human state possessed enough raw firepower to sweep through tens of thousands of enemies.

After all, a casual, playful punch from one of these girls carried the kinetic weight of tens of thousands of tons of displaced water and steel. Forget ordinary humans and low-level Magic Card Masters. Even Magic Card Elves with slightly weaker physical attributes would be instantly pulverized by a flurry of those delicate little fists.

Naturally, Luke considered Ship Girls his absolute first choice for aquatic combat Magic Cards. He highly valued their secondary ability to transform back into massive warships. Standing on the deck of a vessel with a displacement of tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions of tons provided an explosive, unmatched sense of security.

The problem was that Ship Girls belonged neither to the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe nor the Digital World. They originated from an entirely separate domain, a World of Warships. This required Luke to painstakingly construct a brand-new lore foundation from scratch. He also had to map out their subsequent enhancement pathways, a massive undertaking that simply could not be completed overnight.

Mana surged through the air. Red-Eyes Meteor Dragon descended upon the Land of the New Moon at Luke’s silent command. As its colossal wings beat against the wind, countless streams of dark magical energy scattered across the tranquil landscape.

“Easy now, we are not here to pick a fight this time.” Seeing the dragon bare its fangs, Luke helplessly patted the thick scales along its neck. He climbed onto its broad back and directed it toward the towering giant tree situated in the very center of the vast lake.

The flight was entirely peaceful, devoid of any sudden monster attacks or unexpected anomalies. As the Red-Eyes Meteor Dragon touched down heavily on the small island in the center of the lake, Luke vaulted down from its back. Standing at the base of the towering tree, he tilted his head back and let out a long breath of pure admiration.

Even from a great distance, he had felt as though he was already standing under the shade of its massive canopy. Now, up close, the sheer physical presence of this verdant giant left him utterly shaken.

He had originally assumed that given the massive size of the Red-Eyes Meteor Dragon, the size difference between the beast and the tree would be like comparing a child to a grown adult. He never expected the reality to be this exaggerated.

While the Red-Eyes Meteor Dragon was not the absolute largest among Dragon-type monsters, it still held a massive size advantage over ordinary Magic Card Elves. Yet, standing before this ancient trunk, the mighty dragon looked like a mere ant. It completely shattered Luke’s understanding of scale.

Beyond the visual shock, Luke felt a distinct wave of apprehension bleeding over through his mental link with the dragon. The proud beast was genuinely wary of this tree. Clearly, this verdant giant was no ordinary plant.

[Ancient Spirit God Tree]

Race: World Tree

Note: The level gap is too massive to view further information.

‘Ancient Spirit God Tree?’Luke read the data flashing across his vision, raising a curious eyebrow.’The race is classified as World Tree. Does that mean World Trees are not a unique, singular existence, but an entire racial category? Are there other World Trees out there besides this one?’

The Digital World also possessed a World Tree, acting as the central host and equivalent to a supreme god of that realm. There was clearly a distinct difference between the two concepts.

This was the very first time Luke had encountered a situation where the level gap was simply too vast for his system to extract more data. That alone proved the Ancient Spirit God Tree standing before him was an entity of terrifying power. He just did not know if this tree was the sole living inhabitant of the Land of the New Moon.

Thus far, he had not sensed a single other life form in the entire realm. It was entirely possible that the suffocatingly dense life force radiating from the Ancient Spirit God Tree was simply drowning out the auras of any smaller creatures.

Soon enough, Luke noticed something else. The magic power within his body was replenishing at an absolutely terrifying speed. The source of this rapid recovery was the mysterious, ancient aura washing over him from the Ancient Spirit God Tree.

Even while actively maintaining the physical manifestation of the Red-Eyes Meteor Dragon, his mana regeneration far outpaced the drain.

Luke had a strong suspicion that even if he summoned Dark Magician Girl and Sistermon Blanc right now, without relying on a single magic power crystal, his passive mana drain would not even come close to matching this explosive recovery rate.

“If I could somehow uproot this thing and take it with me, would I ever have to worry about running out of mana again?” Luke muttered aloud, staring greedily at the massive trunk.

Magic power crystals had their limits. In his eyes, those crystals were best used to allow his Magic Card Elves to operate independently away from him. While they solved his immediate mana issues, securing a permanent, infinite battery like this tree would be the ultimate prize.

As if hearing his audacious murmurs, the previously still Ancient Spirit God Tree suddenly swayed without a single breeze. Its emerald leaves, which seemed to cover half the sky, rustled with a soft, melodic sound. Under Luke’s astonished gaze, a figure slowly phased out from the very heart of the World Tree’s trunk.

She possessed snow-white skin and a breathtakingly perfect figure, draped in elegant, form-fitting priestly attire. Delicate plant ornaments adorned her head, holding back incredibly soft, spun-gold hair that cascaded all the way down to her ankles. Her emerald eyes were impossibly clear, holding the gentle depth of untouched nature.

One look into those eyes would instantly strip away any hostility a person might harbor.

What caught Luke’s attention the most, however, were her long, gracefully pointed ears. They were distinctly non-human. The woman standing before him was a true elf, pulled straight from the high fantasy lore of his memories.

In terms of sheer physical beauty, this elf was entirely on par with the Night Queen, Moon Neon Clothes. The only difference lay in their contrasting atmospheres.

The Night Queen was the embodiment of pure, intoxicating allure and dark charm. This elf radiated a sacred, divine grace that carried its own subtle, irresistible temptation. They were two absolute peaks of beauty.

Still, stepping directly out of the solid wood of a World Tree was hardly normal behavior.

Luke immediately focused his mind, attempting to pull up her status window. An elf born directly from the Ancient Spirit God Tree was bound to possess an devastating identity.

[Celestine Lucullus]

Race: Ancient Spirit Tree Spirit / Reincarnated Goddess

Note: The level gap is too massive to view further information.

Just like with the tree itself, Luke was completely blocked from viewing the detailed stats of this woman named Celestine.

However, the information displayed in her race column made his eyes widen.

Ancient Spirit Tree Spirit. That confirmed Celestine was the physical manifestation, the very soul of the Ancient Spirit God Tree. It perfectly explained her pointed ears and deep connection to nature. But Reincarnated Goddess? Was this beautiful elf truly a fallen deity?

He had guessed her background would be extraordinary, but a literal goddess was beyond his expectations.

As far as he knew, the current Magic Card Civilization did not even possess a working concept of true gods. He could only wonder just how terrifyingly powerful this Reincarnated Goddess truly was.
