Magic Card Era: Infinite Deck Enhancement — Chapter 103

Chapter 103: Millennial Powerhouse? No! Myriad Year Expert!

“Is this the Luke you speak of?”

The voice was enchanting, a silken whisper that still pierced straight through the heavy stone walls of the Cang Capital Lord’s mansion. Outside the grand hall, the stationed Magic Card Master guards stiffened. The sheer weight of that single sentence hijacked their nervous systems, instantly stripping them of their senses.

When physical control finally returned seconds later, raw horror painted their faces. What kind of monstrous entity could paralyze them with just a casual spoken word? Trembling, they turned their gazes toward the sealed doors of the hall, their eyes wide with absolute reverence.

Inside the opulent hall, the Night Queen reclined on the main seat. Her alluring peach blossom eyes were locked onto the broadcast screen, tracking Luke’s every movement with intense, predatory interest. A closer look would reveal a flicker of genuine shock buried deep beneath her composed exterior. Even an Undying Realm Domain Lord like her found herself startled by the boy’s performance.

“That’s right, Lady Night Queen.” Cang Ao, the Capital Lord of Cang Capital, swallowed hard. Unaware of the terror his guards were experiencing outside, his own voice trembled slightly.

The Night Queen had arrived without warning. He had only intended to pass a message to her through Meng Ningdie; he never expected this supreme entity to descend upon his city in person. It was a staggering revelation. An Undying Realm Domain Lord placed far more importance on Original Magic Card Creators than he had ever dared to imagine. It all but confirmed the ancient legends.

Since assuming the mantle of Capital Lord, Cang Ao hadn’t felt his blood pump this fiercely. Cang Fenghua had reported Luke’s potential to him earlier, but seeing the college entrance examination with his own eyes shattered his understanding of the word ‘prodigy’.

Cang Ao was an Immortal Realm powerhouse. He had spent countless years attempting to construct an original worldview, making zero progress. Yet here was Luke—a boy barely in his teens—already forging his second Original Magic Card worldview. Even if the kid had started cultivating in the womb, it defied all logic. It was fundamentally unscientific. For a long-lived being like Cang Ao, a decade was a fleeting breath. Luke had achieved in that single breath what Cang Ao might never grasp in a lifetime.

A Millennial Powerhouse… how terrifying.

Cang Ao was absolutely certain now. Luke was the Millennial Powerhouse of this era, and he had been born right here, within his jurisdiction. The thought alone made the Capital Lord’s heart race.

Standing beside the Night Queen, Meng Ningdie was locked in a daze of her own. Her previous ambitions now felt laughably naive. An Original Magic Card Creator was a strategic asset, rarer and more valuable than any national treasure. To construct a second original worldview in such a short time, achieving the impossible… was this guy even human?

Meng Ningdie thoroughly abandoned her initial plan. If she actually took Luke as her student, he would probably torment her to death by the end of the first day. She knew next to nothing about Original Magic Cards. How could she possibly teach him? She’d be lucky not to accidentally cripple his progress. Hell, their roles would likely reverse, with Luke lecturing her.

A monster like this could only be handled by her teacher. Only the Night Queen possessed the qualifications and the sheer power to guide him.

Having a genius junior brother actually sounds pretty great, Meng Ningdie suddenly realized. Her perspective shifted, and the crushing pressure of trying to be his mentor vanished, replaced by the comfortable safety of being his senior sister.

“Indeed. He is very special,” the Night Queen murmured, her eyes shimmering with a deep, starry depth.

As a Millennial Powerhouse herself, she possessed an original worldview. In fact, that was the very defining trait of the title. But even with her overwhelming strength, having ascended to the pinnacle of the Undying Realm, she only held one.

In her long memory, the Ancient Kingdom had seen Millennial Powerhouses who commanded more than one original worldview. The Supreme, who had claimed the title long before her, was one such existence. But the Supreme’s classification was fundamentally different. The Night Queen was a Millennial Powerhouse. The Supreme was something far more terrifying: a Myriad Year Expert.

A Myriad Year Expert. An anomaly so rare they were measured in epochs of ten thousand years, born exclusively from the already infinitesimal pool of Millennial Powerhouses.

While a Millennial Powerhouse forged a single original worldview, a Myriad Year Expert was defined by possessing two or more. The Supreme held at least two, though the exact number remained a mystery even to the Night Queen.

The Supreme was a peerless monster who had achieved Millennial Powerhouse status five thousand years ago. But tracing the historical lineage back further revealed that the gap between the Supreme and the previous Myriad Year Expert was exactly ten thousand years.

This was the ultimate secret, guarded fiercely by the few who stood at the apex. A Capital Lord like Cang Ao only knew the surface-level rumors of the Millennial Powerhouse; the concept of a Myriad Year Expert was entirely beyond his clearance. The legend of the Millennial Powerhouse spanned generations. The Myriad Year Expert spanned hundreds of generations.

Even the other three Domain Lords of the Ancient Kingdom—Undying Realm entities equal to the Night Queen—were ignorant of this truth, simply because they were not Original Magic Card Creators. They didn’t belong to that exclusive circle.

But it has only been five thousand years since the Supreme emerged, the Night Queen thought, her perfectly sculpted brows knitting together. By all the laws of history, the next Myriad Year Expert shouldn’t appear for another five millennia.

This was the crux of her confusion. The historical pattern had never deviated. Not once. Until Luke. He had just shattered a cosmic rule that the absolute elite had accepted as absolute truth.

Could our fundamental understanding be flawed? she wondered, her gaze locked onto the young boy rewriting the laws of reality on the screen. Did those ancient Original Magic Card Masters simply happen to be born ten thousand years apart by sheer coincidence, tricking us into believing there is a rigid tier above the Millennial Powerhouse?

She fell silent, the oppressive weight of her aura filling the grand hall. But a ten-thousand-year interval… isn’t that far too perfect a coincidence?

For the first time in centuries, the Night Queen found herself entirely without answers.
