Chapter 30: Justice Adventure Team Rank Up!

Clorinde darted behind the towering Big Goblin, her blade flashing as she thrust it directly toward the monster’s thick ankle.

“Penetration!”

A crisp notification materialized above the beast’s head in a burst of red light.

[-50 HP]

The Big Goblin let out a deafening roar of agony. It pivoted with surprising speed, swinging its massive stone hammer in a wide, crushing arc aimed straight at the duelist.

Clorinde kicked off the stone floor, retreating rapidly to create just enough distance. The heavy hammer smashed into the ground where she had stood a fraction of a second before, sending debris flying.

With the monster’s attention drawn, Neuvillette seized the opening. He leveled his wooden staff, his expression impassive, and fired a condensed Water Magic Bullet straight at the goblin’s skull.

Sensing the incoming threat, the Big Goblin jerked its head to the side, narrowly dodging the watery projectile.

Seeing the creature’s shifting focus, Clorinde called out, “I’ll take its aggro head-on! Look for an opening to strike!”

Without hesitation, she dashed back into the fray, locking herself into direct melee combat.

Using a skill carried a one-second casting delay, and her standard attacks only chipped away a meager 50 DMG. Because of this, Clorinde adopted the same strategy Neuvillette had used earlier—she focused entirely on evasion, weaving through the monster’s brutal swings. She only activated her skills to yank the creature’s aggro back the moment its bloodshot eyes drifted toward the backline.

One after another, Neuvillette and Furina unleashed a barrage of Water Magic Bullets. The projectiles slammed into the Big Goblin’s thick hide. Every time the infuriated beast tried to turn its wrath upon the two spellcasters, Clorinde stuck to it like a relentless shadow, forcing it to deal with her first.

The Big Goblin, realizing its predicament, grew slightly more cunning. It began to continuously back away from Clorinde, attempting to dodge the incoming magical artillery from Furina and Neuvillette.

But Clorinde pursued relentlessly. The goblin muttered and grumbled in its crude tongue, its frustration boiling over into pure rage.

When its HP plummeted to the critical 100 mark, the beast pounded its chest with massive fists and unleashed a furious, earth-shaking Roar.

However, that would be the last sound it ever made in this world.

The Roar skill only buffed its raw strength, offering absolutely no boost to its constitution or defense.

Before the buff could even take effect, two high-speed magic bullets struck it squarely in the chest, completely emptying its red health bar.

The Big Goblin collapsed, its eyes wide with lingering hatred. Its mountain-like body crashed heavily onto the platform, sending a distinct tremor through the stone floor.

It was finally over.

The massive corpse dissolved into drifting particles of golden light.

Simultaneously, a crisp chime rang out in the minds of Furina, Neuvillette, and Clorinde.

As the glowing blue text faded from their vision, the world around them went pitch black. When the light returned a second later, the trio found themselves standing safely back in the bustling central plaza.

Samuel stood nearby, offering them a warm, relaxed smile.

“Congratulations on your successful challenge,” he greeted. “You are now officially members of an E-Rank Adventurers Guild.”

Furina blinked, processing the transition for a brief second, before leaping into the air with a joyous cheer. “Hooray! The challenge is complete! We did it!”

Neuvillette, ever the pragmatist, immediately recalled the system prompts that had flooded his vision.

“Mr. Samuel,” the Chief Justice began, his tone measured and polite. “A voice just informed us that we unlocked new functions upon ranking up. I did not quite catch all the details in the heat of the moment. Could you perhaps explain them once more?”

Samuel nodded, happy to oblige.

“Of course. The Adventurers Guild Shop currently only stocks Low-grade Recovery Potions, priced at 50 copper coins each. You can purchase them directly by opening your Adventurers Guild interface. The shop will expand its inventory later, but that requires reaching higher guild ranks.

“As for the Officer Appointment function, since your guild has reached E-Rank, the leader can now appoint one deputy leader. This deputy will also be granted the authority to open the portal to the dungeon. Does that make sense, or should I go over the specifics again?”

Neuvillette nodded thoughtfully. “I understand perfectly. Recovery Potions, you say? Allow me to take a look.”

He mentally willed the Adventurers Guild panel open. Sure enough, a newly illuminated ‘Shop’ icon sat on the interface. Tapping it revealed a glowing digital image of a small vial.

Deducting 50 copper coins from his balance, a brief flash of light materialized in Neuvillette’s palm, leaving behind a glass test tube filled with a vibrant green liquid.

[Item: Low-grade Recovery Potion]

[Description: Recovers 10% HP.]

[Price: 50 copper coins.]

Neuvillette inspected the swirling green liquid, a sudden thought crossing his mind. What would happen if this magical item was brought back to Teyvat?

“Mr. Samuel, what effect would this potion have if it were consumed back in Teyvat?”

Samuel chuckled softly. “No need to be so formal, just call me Samuel. If you use that potion in Teyvat, it functions as a potent healing agent. No matter the type of physical injury, it will mend the damage. As I mentioned before, the rules of the Source Continent apply to other worlds, but the rules of other worlds do not govern the Source Continent.”

Neuvillette absorbed the information. “I see. That is quite remarkable.”

Samuel then reached into his inventory and produced ten gleaming silver coins.

“By the way, I promised a reward of ten silver coins to the very first Adventurers Guild to reach E-Rank. I honestly expected Stelle’s group to claim the prize first, but I certainly didn’t anticipate Furina’s newly minted Justice Adventure Team beating them to the punch.”

Furina eagerly snatched the silver coins from his hand, her eyes sparkling as she stuffed them securely into her pocket.

Hehe! Ten silver coins! That’s ten thousand copper coins! I can buy so many little toys and premium snacks from the General Store now!

Shortly after, Furina officially appointed Neuvillette as her deputy leader, granting him the crucial authority to open the portal independently.

The group took a brief rest on the steps outside the General Store, chatting idly about their victory. After catching his breath, Neuvillette politely excused himself. He still had a mountain of unread legal documents waiting on his desk back at the Palais Mermonia, and duty called.

Furina, however, had no such responsibilities weighing her down. Bursting with energy, she dragged Clorinde and Samuel along to find Stelle and March 7th to celebrate.

Deep within the Robot Settlement of Belobog’s Underworld.

Furina stood triumphantly on the top step outside Clara’s makeshift home. She had her hands planted firmly on her hips, her chin tilted up in an expression of absolute, unadulterated smugness.

“Hmph, hmph~!” Furina declared, her voice ringing out with theatrical flair. “Under the brilliant and flawless leadership of the great Hydro Archon Focalors—which is to say, me!—the Justice Adventure Team has successfully conquered the Promotion Dungeon! We are now officially an E-Rank Adventurers Guild!”

She threw her arms wide, basking in her own glory. “Now, everyone, cheer! Applaud! Offer your highest praises for yet another glorious victory for Focalors!”

Down below, her audience was more than happy to oblige.

Stelle clapped with chaotic, deadpan vigor. “Furina is awesome! Furina is the best!”

Beside her, March 7th was bouncing on her heels, pumping her fists in the air. “Oh! Oh! Oh! You’re seriously amazing, Furina!”

Even little Clara and Anviel joined in, offering soft, timid claps with their small hands.

“Big Sister Furina… is really great!” Clara cheered weakly.

Furina soaked it all in, her eyes closed in pure bliss as she practically drowned in the validation. She was completely unable to pull herself away from the spotlight.

Off to the side, however, the local Underworlders were experiencing a severe case of cultural whiplash.

Seele and Bronya stood near the scrap heaps, looking utterly bewildered. They had only arrived at the settlement a short while ago and hadn’t even gotten the chance to ask what was going on before Samuel, Furina, and Clorinde had suddenly materialized out of thin air.

Seele crossed her arms, her sharp violet eyes scanning the bizarre gathering before locking onto a familiar face.

She marched straight over to Dan Heng, who was standing quietly away from the noise.

“Dan Heng,” Seele demanded bluntly. “What exactly are you doing?”

Dan Heng barely spared her a glance, his expression as stoic as ever. “Nothing. I am simply calculating where the Stellaron might be hidden.”

Seele sighed, rubbing her temples. “Right. I see… Hey, let me ask you something else.”

Dan Heng finally turned his full attention to her. “You want to ask about Samuel, don’t you?”

Seele nodded, not bothering to hide her confusion. “Exactly. All that weird talk about ‘Goblins,”guild ranks,’ and’skills’ you guys were throwing around on the way here… I didn’t understand a single word of it. Care to explain?”
