Fairy Tail: My Magic is a Yu-Gi-Oh! Deck — Chapter 94

July 14, 2026 Calculating...

Chapter 94: Chaos-Black Magic Ritual!

Atop the crown of the towering Magic Giant, two titanic forces collided.

Torrents of black-purple and dark-gold Magic Power smashed into one another with apocalyptic fury. The sheer concussive force of the shockwaves swept across the rooftop, annihilating the surrounding stone and ripping the very air to shreds.

A massive recoil erupted from the epicenter. Both combatants were sent skidding backward across the shattered masonry.

Judging by the deep trenches carved into the floor by their boots, Jose held the slight upper hand. He dug his heels in and halted his momentum several paces before Chase managed to stabilize his own stance.

“To possess such overwhelming power at your age…” Jose slowly lowered his arms, casually brushing a layer of pulverized dust from his regal coat. His gaze locked onto the young Mage, dripping with venom. “I must admit, brat, you’ve actually managed to surprise me.”

From the very moment he initiated this full-scale war, his sole target had been Makarov. Whether it was the initial bombardment from the Jupiter Cannon or the catastrophic Abyss Break currently charging in the sky, every single maneuver was orchestrated to cripple and humiliate the Fairy Tail Guild Master.

From beginning to end, Jose had never placed a single other member of Fairy Tail in his eyes. No sane man would be wary of an ant crawling by the roadside; he would only take sadistic pleasure in slowly pulling off its legs until it died.

But now, after exchanging blows, Jose was forced to swallow a bitter reality.

This ‘ant’ standing before him was a genuine, lethal threat. It infuriated him to his core that such a monster existed within Fairy Tail’s ranks outside of Makarov.

“This was originally a technique I planned to save for your Master,” Jose sneered, his voice dropping into a lethal, echoing register. “But I suppose dragging your half-dead, broken body to his feet will shatter the old fool’s spirit just as well.”

The air around the Phantom Lord Master grew heavy and suffocating.

“Allow me to give you a personal taste of what it means to experience true despair!”

A sickening, evil aura erupted from Jose’s body, surging frantically into the depths of his cold eyes. Gradually, the whites of his eyes were swallowed by a layer of pitch-black void. His Magic Power climbed at a terrifying, exponential rate, visibly warping the space around him.

He was finally getting serious.

“Sorry to disappoint, Guild Master Jose, but I’ve already tasted real despair back on the Guiltina Continent. I won’t trouble you for a second serving.” Chase exhaled a long breath, steadying his lungs after the blistering pace of the melee. He rolled his shoulders, his expression perfectly calm. “Honestly, I’m far more interested in the structural integrity of your walking castle.”

Judging by the time that had passed, the Four Elements should have already been thoroughly dismantled by his guildmates. With Erza and Mirajane both operating at peak condition, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say they were currently steamrolling through the lower floors.

There was no longer any need to hold back. It was time to completely let loose and summon the strongest Mage dormant within his deck.

Chase drew a Ritual Spell card from his hand.

The moment the card was revealed, the atmospheric pressure plummeted. The ambient Magic Power, already whipped into a frenzy by Jose’s dark awakening, became violently unstable. The scattered rubble on the roof broke free from the constraints of gravity, floating weightlessly into the air between the two Mages.

A dark red hexagram suddenly blazed to life on the ground, encircled by a massive magic formation engraved with ancient, mysterious runes. On either side of the glowing circle, two cylindrical sacrificial altars rose from the stone.

Chase cast a brief glance at the Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl hovering beside him.

The master and disciple understood immediately. Giving Chase a synchronized, respectful nod, they dissolved into two brilliant streams of light—one deep purple, the other vibrant pink. The twin streaks of energy shot into the cylindrical altars, fully igniting the dark red hexagram.

Flames radiating a deep, terrifying magical aura roared to life. Thick black mist continuously poured from the fire, floating high into the air and condensing into a swirling canopy of storm clouds.

“Black Magic Ritual, activate!”

Chase held the glowing Spell card high, his voice cutting through the roaring wind. “Descend! The chaotic ruler born from the fusion of light and darkness—Magician of Black Chaos!”

As the absolute pinnacle of the Dark Magicians, and the strongest card in his current deck outside of Slifer the Sky Dragon, the Magician of Black Chaos required Chase to exert his full magical capacity to summon. Due to its immense energy consumption, the entity usually remained in a deep dormant state, unlike the Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl who could manifest and move freely.

Jose narrowed his pitch-black eyes.

What kind of monster is this brat trying to summon?

His instincts as a Wizard Saint—especially one who specialized in dark magic—screamed at him. Something ancient and extraordinary was reviving within the depths of those thick black clouds.

“If I had the luxury of time, I might wait to see what parlor trick you’ve cooked up. But I have no time to waste on you!” Jose thrust his hand forward, instantly outlining a magic circle crackling with leaping arcs of dark electricity. “Despair: Dark Spiral!”

A massive, dark purple energy drill shot forward, tearing through the air to annihilate the hexagram, the altars, and the black clouds in one strike.

“Sorry, Guild Master Jose.” Chase smiled, looking up at the sky. “The ritual is already complete.”

Hearing the sheer confidence in the boy’s voice, Jose snapped his gaze upward.

Suspended high in the air was a tall, imposing figure radiating an ocean of pure Magic Power. The man wore a striking black and red outfit, topped with a wizard’s hat that curved sharply to the sides. Beneath the brim, a pair of eyes flickered with piercing golden light set into a stern, unyielding face.

The Magician of Black Chaos was a being of few words and decisive action. The very second he materialized, he swung his ornate staff, instantly condensing the ultimate Dark Magic strike.

The wind exploded. Pure black lightning surged at the tip of the staff, rapidly forming a dense, pitch-black sphere of energy that seemed capable of peeling away the fabric of space itself.

Jose’s pupils constricted. He coated his right arm in a dense layer of Phantom Lord energy and swung it viciously, unleashing a violent purple stream of light that lashed out like a venomous snake. “Dark Current!”

At that exact moment, Chase forcefully threw a card onto the field.

A violent, roaring tornado abruptly erupted directly around Jose, instantly shredding the Dark Current wrapped around his arm before it could even launch.

It was the Quick-Play Spell card designed to unconditionally destroy an opponent’s magic—Mystical Space Typhoon!

“You damn card brat!”

The sudden, inexplicable dissipation of his spell caught Jose completely off guard. He couldn’t help but roar in frustration at this wildly unpredictable fighting style.

But his only answer was a colossal, pitch-black sphere of energy descending from the heavens, distorting the space around it as it fell.

The Magician of Black Chaos swung his staff down, his expression entirely devoid of mercy. “Destruction Rune: Black Seal!”

The pitch-black energy blast struck dead center, completely engulfing Jose’s twisted, horrified face.

A terrifying, apocalyptic destructive force detonated. The blast instantly melted through the roof, piercing downward through more than a dozen floors in a fraction of a second, driving straight into the very foundation of the Magic Giant.

And then—

A catastrophic explosion, laced with black lightning and roaring dark flames, tore through the structure. The resulting shockwaves violently expanded outward from top to bottom.

Entire sections of the iron castle collapsed on the spot. Countless tons of rubble rained down into the water below. Having lost its core structural support, the massive Magic Giant buckled, its knees crashing into the lake as the entire main body began to critically totter.

At the exact same time.

The colossal mechanical arm that had been outlining the forbidden magic, Abyss Break, suddenly lost power. It dropped limply to the side, and the massive, sky-spanning magic circle dissolved into harmless particles of light.

This wasn’t a direct result of Chase’s attack. The Phantom Lord’s Four Elements—the living batteries providing the energy source for the spell—had all been utterly defeated, completely losing their combat capability.

Deep within the crumbling internal corridors of the giant.

Natsu lay sprawled on the floor, covered in bruises and panting heavily, his chest heaving with every breath. Lucy and Cana were battered and exhausted, though they were clearly in much better shape than the Dragon Slayer.

A few feet away from the group, Gajeel and Totomaru lay completely motionless in the rubble, their eyes rolled back into their heads.

“Hey! What are you guys doing lounging around over there?!”

A familiar, commanding voice echoed from the end of the violently shaking passageway.

Erza and Mirajane sprinted through the dust clouds, effortlessly leaping over the falling debris. Slung casually over their shoulders were the unconscious, battered bodies of Aria and Sol.
