Chapter 123: Attack

The Lungmen Guard Department and its myriad subordinate branches rarely operated out of the same district. There was a very specific, highly classified reason for today’s rendezvous. The L.G.D. was currently orchestrating an aggressively active deployment strategy, one that had to account for severe security vulnerabilities and ulterior political motives from its very inception.

While the L.G.D. itself was far from a leaky sieve, dealing with heavily armed underground organizations required the establishment of a completely independent, untainted department. This new division operated on a fundamentally different concept than the Eternal Life Agency. Where the latter relied on the cooperation of commercial and private sectors to achieve its goals, this newly deployed special armed response unit was a pure instrument of violence, executing operations based strictly on classified intelligence.
